Feeling Festive!!

Now its got colder here and we're all wearing our hats and scarfs I'm starting to really get in the festive mood. I was feeling so festive I decided to put a bit of Michael Buble Christmas music on my itunes and wrap up all my presents!

New projects

I've been working on a few different projects this week, some vintage tags for a magazine, some designs for a Photobook company and also some textile designs. Above is a sneak peek at one of the new textile designs. 

It's starting to feel like Christmas already in Greece they are playing all the Christmas tunes on the radio and it's starting to make me think I need to do some Christmas shopping. I think I'll mainly be shopping online this year from NOTHS which has some excellent unusual handmade and personalized gifts.

First Christmas orders..!!!

We started getting our first Christmas card orders from NOTHS.com today, very exciting, it means Christmas is definitely not too far away. We did well in our Christmas sales last year but this year we're hoping to double our sales figures. Check out the cards at NOTHS.com. We have two ranges 'Winter Wonderland' which are hand finished with beautiful red gems and 'Christmas Swirls'which have a textured wood background with folksy style Christmas illustrations in the foreground.

Cute Baby Bibs

A little ickle baby bib with a design I posted recently. I'm really thinking of adding some baby wear ranges to my notonthehighstreet shop, am thinking... organic cotton, little rompers with Scandinavian style pears, apples, tractors, whales etc, with little matching rompers. How cute would that be..?! Plus I get to test them out on all my friends babies. If anyone knows of somewhere I can get my own material printed that is cheaper than spoonflower please let me know.

Sukie

Here are a few items that caught my eye by Sukie for sale on notonthehighstreet.com. I especially love the animal hankies they're an ideal gift for dads who like mine blow their noses all the time with the same old boring white hankies!  Also all the designs are silk screen printed and where possible organic textiles are used. Happy Day of Love!!

Happy Valentine's day everyone! I hope you all have someone you love to share this day with. I know alot of people don't agree with Valentine's day as they believe it's just a marketing scam but I think it's a good excuse to stop and pause and remember people be it family, friends, boyfriends or husbands who is ever special to you. In my case this day is to remember what a lovely husband I have who I love to bits. We won't go out today as we haven't got a babysitter but I will cook a nice dinner and I've found some interesting presents from notonthehighstreet.com they have really unusual gift ideas which is great as it's always so difficult to find presents for men!

My cup of tea!

I'm not even sure when Mother's Day is this year but I've already started designing some new cards for our notonthehighstreet.com website. This is one I've recently designed. I drew a teapot as I think thats what we all think of when we think of our mums (not that they look like teapots!) but that they all love to relax with a cuppa. My mother even has to have her cup of tea in Greece when its 40 degrees in the summer! I personally like to relax with my Wii which I'm addicted to at the moment. Its amazing you can cycle, jog and have snowball fights all within your own lounge..brilliant!

Kids wall art and a little bird told me...

We are decorating our house at the moment, we've been knocking down walls and plastering so the whole house is full of dust and I haven't had one second to sit down at the computer until now! We will be decorating little smurfs room so I've been looking on the net for some wall decorations for her room. On NOTHS.com I came across a nice little shop called Happy Spaces (such a cute name!) and I love their bright designs, ideal for little kiddies rooms. Check out the canvases below,

NOTHS.com recently sent me an email showing some picks from their 'birdie' inspired products, I especially love the little bird cupcake decorations.

Britishness

I love all things British and with the the World Cup being on and being away from home it makes me that much more patriotic. I've really missed England lately so I thought it would be a good idea to add a bit of 'Britishness' to our home and suprisingly I stumbled upon quite a few goodies.

First of all I just fell in love with this Union jack themed pillow its from Joy a great little shop with stores all over the UK. They sale all different bits and bobs. I also found a lovely owl cushion and a cupcake holder that my friend Carine from Cupcake Galore would appreciate, from the same store.

The Summer Holiday British beach hut is from Not On The High Street, I wonder if my husband would mind me hanging that up in the garden, we have to hand the Greek flag out twice a year for their 'National days' so I think its only fair!

The British Teatime cards are also from Not On The High Street by Dots and Spots. I think they are really cute and would look quite nice framed.

I also have to add this beaut, its a 'Quintessentially' Union Jack but designed with only words and the great thing is all the words have to do with something British, eg, a Victoria Sponge recipe, quite a clever idea I think!
